Honoring Job Lewis A Patriot of the American Revolution (hosted by the Mansfield Daughters of the American Revolution)

Sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution, this graveside ceremony and following reception at the Sharon Historical Society celebrates Job Lewis, an African American Patriot from Sharon who served in the Continental Army  throughout the entire Revolutionary War.  He was the father of John Lewis, a noted blacksmith and abolitionist who lived and worked on Beacon Hill, Boston.

The event will begin at his grave in the Dry Pond Cemetery in Sharon.  The reception will be at the Sharon Historical Society building.  Light refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity to view exhibits related to the Revolutionary War era in Sharon.
